Janas Performance Therapy

I have suffered with lower back pain for several years due to degenerative disc disease. I have seen multiple doctors, had injections and multiple rounds of physical therapy with no relief. I had come to the conclusion that I was just going to have to live with the pain. I was relying on daily doses of OTC pain medications to get through the day. I met Michael in November 2024 and after talking with him decided to give him a try. My first visit I realized that his approach was different. He did a comprehensive evaluation and tailored exercises to my specific needs. Each session he discussed my progress and adjusted my exercises as needed. I cannot fully express my level of appreciation for Dr. Janas. I was having severe difficulty with some shoulder stabilization, range of motion and strength. Mike took the time to learn what issues I had and the goals I wanted to reach. After a small amount of visits you could see progress which motivated me to continue to get better. At this point I feel like a new person who is able to do things I had never been able to do before. My CrossFit strength and mobility have increased it more importantly my daily activities have become much less laborious and painful. Mike has extensive knowledge about therapy but probably more importantly he cares about his patients and makes sure to get them to their goals. Mike is an exceptional physical therapist. He’s extremely knowledgeable and proficient of his craft. He’s a great listener as well and takes time to listen to what your needs are. He will work diligently to help you achieve your goals. I hope to continue working with him in the future.

Mike is a PT guy that is going to tell you what you need to do for your progress, whether it’s what you want to hear or not. From day one when I met Mike , laying in bed with two repaired ruptured patella tendons, he told me what I needed to do , so I followed his advice to a T. Everything he has told me to do and how it would help has been spot on. I know I would not be where I am today if I had any other therapist. I've been seeing Dr. Janas for the past five years and could not imagine going to anyone else. His deep and knowledge and passion for what he does results in consistent care that is personalized for each patient with great care for them as an individual.
