I've been a patient of Dr. Ahearn for about two decades. The quality of attention he provides is a throwback to the days when healthcare wasn't provided on an assembly line. He hs ben a true "health counselor," thoughtful and compassionate. I can't recommend him highly enough and I dread the inevitable day that he takes down his shingle.

Thorough, caring, communicative care. Very minimal wait time in the lobby. Very knowledgeable when processing health insurance. Kind desk staff. I started as a patient in 1986 through life’s phases of development. All the good remains, with the added progressive awareness of current health & well being issues.

Dr. James K. Ahern is without parallel as a physician. He is incredibly intelligent, knowledgeable, and compassionate. He also keeps the best records of any medical professional I have ever known.

Being a long-established patient of his, I called the office at exactly 9am (the time they start answering their phones) requesting to be seen through a televisit. I had explained to them I was experiencing flu-like symptoms with a horrible and uncontrollable cough, so bad that my esophagus felt like it was on fire. The receptionist who answered the phone told me both Dr. Galban’s and Dr. Ahern’s schedules were booked solid. I requested a time for the next day and without an excuse, she just plainly said, “no”. She went on to say their newer provider there allows televisits but only for COVID-positive patients. I told her I had already taken a COVID at-home test yesterday and it came back negative.
