Just found this website...Dr Gerstle is truly a miracle worker. My daughter is now 15 and when born she was missing body parts, thanks to Dr Gerstle she is all better and no problems anymore. There are truly no words for how amazing Dr. Gerstle is. My 3 year old son Levi has high risk neuroblastoma and Dr. Gerstle recently performed 2 major surgeries on him. The first surgery was to remove the main tumor as well as cancerous lymph nodes/tissue, and the second surgery was to remove the 2 tumors inside of his pancreas (had less than half of his pancreas removed) as well as his spleen and surrounding lymph nodes. Dr. Gerstle and his team did such an outstanding job and removed everything that he could physically see. I don’t think it could have been possible without him and his team due to how challenging my son’s case was. They took their time, and were extremely thorough. Not only is he an amazing surgeon, but his bed side manner and confidence in what he is doing is top notch.

Dr. Gerstle is an amazing pediatric oncology surgeon. We are very fortunate that he and his team are so thorough and meticulous. They always take the time to answer questions and make sure we understand each step of the surgical process as well as the risks. We trust his eyes more than my child’s scans (they don’t reveal the whole picture) which is crucial to monitoring her progress during and after treatment.

How do you write a review for a man who saved your child’s life. My son was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in February of this year. After many rounds of chemotherapy, the tumor reduced in size however not to the point surgeons at our hospital in Ohio were comfortable performing the surgery. We called a few hospitals and received the same response however when Dr Gerstle reviewed our sons scans, he indicated he could perform the surgery without any hesitation. We met with him and for a man who spends countless hours in surgery, he took a significant time to talk to my wife and I about the procedure. There are not enough stars in the world to give Dr. Gerstle. We brought my 3 year old to him to remove a ganglioneuroblastoma tumor and the care we received from him and his team was on another level. He was incredibly thorough in his explanations, honest about risks, and patient and kind as we navigated the scariest days/weeks/months of our lives. I will be grateful for Dr Gerstle every day of my life because of what he did for my daughter.
