I hate to leave a negative review for a small business, and I want to be clear that this has nothing to do with Dr. Chuang himself. His skills and bedside manner are excellent, which is why I introduced my husband to his office several years ago. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for his front office staff. When I recently called to schedule my husband’s semi-annual check-up, I was told that because he had declined to put his credit card on file during a prior call, he was “not a good match” for the office. I understand enforcing policies, but there should be reasonable flexibility for established patients who have been loyal clients for years. Got referred to this office by a friend of mine. I made an appt for myself and my husband. This seems like a scam!!! Why was I charged a co-pay when I met my deductible???!!! They made me pay $175 yet I explained my insurance should cover it. I called my insurance same day and they said yes I should pay 0 out of pocket. This is beyond unprofessional! I received an EOB and my insurance was billed $357. It's a shame.... I liked the doctor but will NOT be returning

Staff refused the treatment plan and medications for the patient. The staff (Sabrina) and Katie are unprofessional, don't have the respect and experience to deal with patients who are going through other health issues. They also discuss patients' health records amongst their staff without patient authorization - that's a violation of HIPAA and PHI.

I would not recommend this doctor. He often rushes, and requires you come in very frequently for medication refills. Cosmetic Consultations are expensive, whereas other places offer it free of charge. My skin does not look much better than when I first started seeing him multiple years ago. The 4.1 rating is very misleading

I do think this could be a good dermatology to visit for your skin needs; however, it wasn’t until after my visit that I realized how sneaky the office can be to ensure they get as much extra money out of you as they can. The purpose of my visit was for a preventive skin care check. I made sure to state this multiple times that I was only here for this check that would be covered 100% by my insurance. When I finally met with the nurse and doctor we did meet to go over the purpose of my visit. However, when the doctor noticed some areas of my skin that was not as ideal he decided to take it upon himself to diagnose me. He went more detailed and provided me medication I should take which I thought was nice but was still confused since I didn’t request anything outside of the scope of my vis
