Excellent Surgeon, Friendly Staff. I saw Dr. Simon for an umbilical hernia that was incarcerated. He performed corrective surgery with mesh at St. Rose Hospital about six weeks ago. Everything went very well and I have recovered quickly. Dr. Simon was great, answering all of our questions. He has a kind, friendly, and caring demeanor, and he is clearly very competent. Paula, his office manager, was also very friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Simon to a family member who needed a general surgeon.

I was shocked to see any good reviews on this guy. I saw him last year I’ve been meaning to leave a review. Before even discussing anything with me he walked in the door and had his mind made up on a diagnosis. I was completely turned off by that experience. I think what makes a good doctor is someone willing to listen and ask questions. The appointment felt rushed and although I had a swollen lymph node (now I know it’s multiple confirmed on ultrasound) I know that his “diagnosis” of endometrioma was incorrect. He didn’t even try and investigate what it was. Just sent me out the door to watch and wait. No diagnostic testing recommended. Thank God I found another surgeon willing to hear me out. Dr. Simon performed my gallbladder removal surgery, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. He took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answering all my questions even before I could ask them. The procedure itself went smoothly. Despite the natural anxieties of surgery, I felt well taken care of every step of the way. Dr. Simon's professionalism and warm bedside manner made the entire process as comfortable as could be. His receptionist, Paula, also provided exceptional help and made the administrative side of the process effortless.
