Irmo Drug

We switched to Irmo Drugs about two years ago from the large chain across the street. Bobby and crew run their pharmacy with the personalized service that is becoming rare in the health care industry. I am thankful for them and hope they can continue to stay profitable against the “big boys”.

Pharmacist Bobby and Thomas have always been very helpful. There have been times when I’ve been in a bind, and as long as I’ve got my stuff ready, they’ve been good to help. Always appreciated.

I used a big name pharmacy for a long time and switched after they stopped accepting the (valid) manufacturers coupons because they didn’t feel like making a phone call to verify it. Irmo Drug not only did that but knows my name when I show up. It’s wonderful. Thanks!

I am so offended right now. I don't currently have insurance and can’t afford the outrageous doctor fees, so I made an appointment with goodrx. I usually have my prescriptions filled at Publix, but the very first pharmacy the website told me to get it filled at with the most affordable price was Irmo Drug for “$6.47”. Okay cool, sounds good to me. I confirm and continue about my day. I did this around 6:50 this morning, but the pharmacy doesn’t open until 9 am, so just hanging out until then. Around 9:30 am I called Irmo Drug just to confirm they received my prescription and when I should pick it up. Well, upon answering and requesting an ETA, no rush just to know when to pick it up, the man who answered the phone immediately was like “I’m going to need an insurance card”. Okay, understa

Well to make matters worse.. My prescription was supposed to be transferred this morning, but because he was angry and obviously being petty, he decided not to. And now they are closed. I guess his anger is more important than someone’s health? Yeah.. don’t use this pharmacy. Unless you’re an older wealthy individual, you’re going to be treated poorly. And if you defend yourself, in retaliation, your medicine won’t be transferred.. Because being angry is worth someone’s health.. huh? I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life. Literally the rudest business owner I’ve ever come in contact with. This seems to be a patter looking at past reviews.. He tends to favor wealthy individuals and us who don’t have insurance just disgust him. Someone like this should not be in healthcare.
