Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care

The facility was new, clean, and there was no wait. Checking in at the kiosk for a walk-in was simple. The receptionist assisted with checking identification, confirming insurance and taking co-pay information. The exam and labs were quick and easy. The examining doctor was fantastic. The prescriptions were ready before I got to the pharmacy. Highly recommend this clinic for Urgent Care.

Although this facility is lovely, updated, and clean, unfortunately I will not be returning nor can I recommend it due to the staff. The provider, NP Hanna, was not very communicative or reassuring during my visit. I was in a great deal of pain and had to repeat my questions to get answers or clarification. He gave me a medication that my pharmacist later told me should not be mixed with another prescription I was on (the Rx was in my chart). The MA, Katie, needs more training and care. She verbally acknowledged that she left my chart open at the front desk, provided an unsatisfactory cleaning of my bloody hand, and attempted to bandage the wound but also acknowledged “I don’t know what I’m doing.” My husband ended up cleaning and rewrapping the wound. Do NOT waste your time going here. We were seen at 1pm. After the visit, we called CVS after two hours to see if the prescription was ready for pickup. CVS pharmacy said Urgent Care never sent the order. We tried calling Urgent Care and they never picked up. We eventually had to come back in person. The receptionist was dismissive the entire interaction. They said that the medicine was unavailable… THEN WOULDN’T YOU CONTACT THE PATIENT TO NOTIFY THEM? NOPE…Instead this receptionist ignored all the phone calls. The only saving grace about this place was the doctor.

These doctors can refill and prescribe medications without a problem, and I was denied a refill of progesterone for my excessive bleeding due to my endometriosis. I was told that I had to come back for another refill, but these doctors are here to inconvenience you and take your money. They could have easily sent my prescription to my pharmacy and made my life a lot easier. If you have no insurance, be mindful to go to a different urgent care. No one should joke or play with a woman's well being and life. This medication is top priority for my health and my life, just as much as glucose is to a person with diabetes. Very fast visit, few steps needed to confirm my diagnosis and get my prescription for medicine. The actual examination rooms and bathroom are well equipped and clean. My appointment was early in the morning. It was a plus that my medical history with Inova hospital system was also available for me and the Urgent Care staff.
