Injury Express Walk-in Care

I was at the Elgin location 8/19 and saw Dr Rizzo for some knee pain from starting to run after 10 years off. From Check in to discharge was only an hour! All the staff were kind and accommodating, even offering me some water. X rays were taken right away and Dr Rizzo took the time to explain to me everything he saw that looked good on my x rays. Hid did his exam professionally and I was diagnosed with IT band syndrome. I got a treatment plan took, only 10 days off from running and was back at it pain free! I now have a half marathon I. 3 weeks! I am a great fan of your services!

The customer service was absolutely terrible. I believe the receptionist was named Barb - she was the first booth on the left when you walk in - she was brazen, rude, and a horrible face for Ortho IL. I had a new injury that I made an appt. for at 7 pm. on Friday night, I was running late so I called to change my appt. to 730 which I was told by whoever I spoke to that it was completely fine. I show up at 725 and there is absolutely no one there to check me in, I go to the Ortho IL window and knock so they walk me back over stating someone should be there to check me in. From the hallway I hear a loud "WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANYONE ELSE", this person did not even see me or ask me if I had an appt. Extremely friendly, caring and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all questions and make sure we were comfortable. He gave us details about what to expect within the next 48 hours as well as when to return if the situation worsens. I'm very grateful to him and his staff for how well they took care of my son.

We had used OrthoIllinois for a previous surgery; so when faced with an unknown back injury, we chose to pop-in here rather than deal with the ER. So glad we did. We were seen immediately, X-rayed, diagnosed, and back home within 2 hours. “Thanks for being another option to the busy and crowded ER!”

Dr. Raju was knowledgeable,efficient,and accommodating. He knew what I wanted before I told him. We were both on the same page for expectations. A cortisone injection was painlessly administered and I was out the door in 15 minutes. I drove an hour to see him and it was worth the drive. Being an athlete all my life, I appreciate a sports medicine doctor. They get it.
