Ingles Markets

This review is specifically about the deli. The rest of the store is a 4/5. Went to the deli to pick up a rotisserie chicken and potato salad after work. Something quick so that I wouldnt need to cook. Got the chicken, went up to the counter. I was the only one at any of the counters at that moment. Old man walks by, looks at me, ignores me. Person in slice line looks at me, ignores me in favor of cleaning the slicers. Old man walks by again. Ignores me. Person prepping salads? Looks up, ignores me continued chatting. Two men walk up to the hot bar. Guess what, they were ignored to, for the several minutes I waited for service. I gave up, dropped the chicken, and left. A good supermarket only sells spoiled goods. These roasted sunflower seeds have been rancid and spoiled for about four months, but they're being sold as fresh, top-notch goods.

I had to give at least one star to post a review. Anyway went to Ingles Deli in Canton for dinner tonight. Had meatloaf, fried potatoes, green beans and 2 rolls. Anyway. Nastiest food I ever eat. I usually love the meatloaf, but not this time. The meatloaf was so dry you couldn't even swallow it. The fried potatoes around the edges of the slices was so tough I couldn't even chew it, and the green beans,🤢. They tasted like they just opened a can and put it in the window. I even asked for some fresh meatloaf because I saw that that one was dry. She said no. I couldn't have fresh because that one had to be used first. Now I'm a paying customer and was turned down for food I could eat. Who turns down paying customers for fresh food. At least the rolls were good and thank God I got 2.

One of the best Ingles I’ve ever visit in NC! The store literally has almost everything! The meat, cheese, vegetables and fruits selections are plenty, the salad bar is amazing and the fried chicken is fresh if you order it early! The imported selection also has good stuff! When I was there, there was a huge discounts for almost all of their meats and I get a great deal! The employees are mostly nice, though some needs re-training.

Today (during the ice/cold storm) I checked out at the register at the very end by the pharmacy, that is directly in front of the exit. Every time the door opened, a cold blast would come and directly hit us and the sweet checkout gal there (it's currently 11° wind-chill.) We commented on how cold it was. I then talked to the manager, and mentioned it was freezing right there and it would be nice to move the poor gal to the register over (only 2 were open) so everyone could be more comfortable. The customer service manager dismissed me, and said in a very fun tone "we will take care of that situation if needed" I told her it clearly was needed and everyone was cold there, including her employee. She responded with the same and said the employee would speak up if she needed a change....I fi
