Ideal Dental Decatur

I had visited before and was pleased. Competitive pricing. This time, I had broken a tooth, and was able to get a next business day appointment. The Front Desk is helpful and friendly; the techs put me at ease, as did the dentist. Tech did a thorough pre-dentist check, The dentist was honest; she could try a root canal and crown, but no guarantee the tooth is really amenable to that. Rather than ,spend money for something that might not work, she recommended extraction, implant, then crown. For just the exam and an xray, with my dental insurance, I paid zero. I highly recommend the practice.

Ideal Dental was clean and inviting. The booking process was hassle free and everything during my visit went smoothly. I’ve never had a Black dentist nor been to a dental office with a majority Black staff so that was wonderful to experience. I’ve been to offices where they come back with arbitrary diagnoses to take advantage of people. However I didn’t get that feeling here. Thank you all for the care!

If you read the reviews for this practice, the five star ones seem very similar (and fake). I am glad I finally paid attention to the one star reviews. I received the painful and unpleasant cleaning I have ever had in my life here. Beyond that, I was billed for services I did not receive, and every visit seeing a different dentist who tells me I need something different than last time? I pay well beyond what my insurance covers every time, (why would I pay an extra $200 for a painful cleaning that my insurance already covers when I don't need MORE X-rays?). Being told that I needed a cavity filled, and then coming back for the appointment and saying I now need a root canal made me get a second opinion. And the second opinion is that this practice is charging people beyond services they act

Completely terrible. Ignored my pain. Been in pain for 2 weeks. Barely being able to eat and X-rays show nothing. Only thing Dr. Fuller can say is this my first visit with her and she referring me to a Endo. Let me leave with nothing after care wise until I can even get a visit with Endo besides ibuprofen as if I haven’t already tried all pain medications this far in the last 2 weeks. Never coming back to this place. Too busy trying to rush me out and turning off the lights. This office will be reported.

All of the staff was very friendly and made my time there comfortable and relaxing. The staff was knowledgeable and patient in answering all my questions and concerns. I'm glad to call this dental clinic my new go to dental home.
