Hunterdon Urgent Care

Had the great fortune to visit this facility on Sunday 12/14 . Both myself and my son needed care . His healthcare needed were for as very sore throat . Mine for a soft tissue injury . His healthcare professional unfortunately I can’t shout her out because I can’t find her name on his paperwork , I believe she was either a physicians assistant or nurse practitioner was outstanding . She listened to all his concerns and even ran a mono test just to be sure what was going on with my son .We got the care we needed for him and meds to clear his infection. I presented with pretty extreme pain turns out I strained my groin muscle . It was so painful to walk , change positions in bed or do anything really . October 24 2025 my wife woke up complaining about severe headache and high blood pressure. Having no means to ease the pain and lower the blood pressure, we could hardly wait for the Hunterdon Urgent Care in Flemington to open. Another option was to go to the Emergency Room at the hospital about half a mile down the road, but considering the emergency services at the hospital would be much more expensive, and the fact that many people with those symptoms are able to find the relief without going to the hospital, decided against it. My wife did not find any relief at Hunterdon Urgent Care.The doctor measured the blood pressure, the assistant did one more time.In both instances the blood pressure was high and similar with the readings of our home BPM. when i walked in i was waiting to sign in at the ipad and as soon as the guy in front of me was done the lady at the desk asked me to sign in in a pretty nasty way, didn’t even give me time to react. after that i waited over an hour yesterday to be told: use flonase, a humidifier, and go to my primary care. i like to think im usually one for understanding when urgent care can’t help but the doctor barely saw me for 5 minutes and they didn’t test me for anything else besides strep. i wasn’t the only one in the waiting room wondering why the urgent care wasn’t urgent. i usually go to the city md next to chick fil a and i decided to change this time and needless to say i will not be going back.

Overall clean place and good service. But I thought it was rude when the person handed me a form and said “you have to fill out the silly demographic form” as if gender affirming care isn’t important. I am a cis-gender female but this could be very discriminatory towards those in the LGBTQ+ community and the language used in the health profession should be mindful of diversity and inclusion.

This was my second time visiting this Urgent Care over the past year and both experiences were excellent. From the greeting, to the check in, to the patient care techs, they were all efficient, kind and professional. The physician at my recent visit was wonderful as well. Patient, kind and attentive.
