Hugh R. Daniel, MD/ East Carolina Surgical, P.A.

During the past several months, I have had several surgeries for different illnesses. Dr. Daniels was my surgeon for each of the procedures I had to have. For each procedure, he would take me in his office and carefully explain exactly what to expect and what he was going to do. After my follow up visit, he would give me a detailed report of exactly what he did. I cannot stress enough how great the care he gave me was. His office staff is equally efficient. You rarely have to wait more than about five minutes for your appointment time. Should I need additional care? I would not hesitate to return to Dr. Daniels. He is a fantastic surgeon.

I love and trust Dr. Daniel above any of the other doctors as far as surgical is concerned. He's a nice doctor very professional and office staff is very friendly and professional and they get you in there quick you don't have to wait and wonder when you going to hear from a doctor's office. They help make you feel comfortable and very compassionate people. I would trust my family with him also. If I have to have any kind of surgical procedure I would rather Dr Daniel do it than anybody.

I have known Dr. Daniel in a professional relationship as I worked in the ER and also CCU, 20 years. I have also been his surgical patient. I'm a retired RN and can tell you, Dr.Daniel had the least post surgical complications and post operative infections of any doctor I worked with, including very complicated vascular surgeries with amazing recovery times. I saw first hand and experienced amazing outcomes. He has performed surgery on me twice with great outcome. I highly recommend this surgeon.

Dr. Daniel took care of me and my lymphedema at the Wound Care center. I’m glad to say my lymphedema is doing so well I’ve been discharged. Also did my gallbladder surgery and had a great outcome. He’s got a great sense of humor too🤣

Be aware. You are not told beforehand if your procedure isn't covered by your insurance. I have three bills so far from NAPA, the East Carolina surgical and Columbus Reginional, for one preventive screening. Almost seven grand and I recieved my bills between 1 and 3 months after the procedure was done. I am low income. I thought the nurses and Dr Daniel's were nice, but this is bad business. I would not refer anyone here, go anywhere else if you're able.
