It sometimes feels like customer service across many industries has changed over the years. People may receive the service they need, but the personal connection and genuine care can often feel missing. Everything can seem a bit rushed and robotic — you come in, you’re helped, you pay, and you leave without really feeling seen. That’s why my experience at Hopewell was such a refreshing surprise. I’ve been searching for a veterinary clinic that truly cares — one that offers that old-fashioned, personal touch where you feel welcomed almost immediately. This was my first visit to Hopewell, and I absolutely loved it. The clinic is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. This review a bit late. My first visit to Hopewell was actually several months ago. (Just getting around to writing.) I took my rescue cat, Sweetie, for what was some kind of respiratory issues, sneezing (discharge) along w/ a sort of coughing (or choking? I wasn't sure). She did really well there as I felt Dr. Rutkowski's "bedside manners", so to speak...were great for her (and the same for the assistant who handled her initially). I was very happy w/ this first visit, the diagnosis which seemed "spot on", the advice and how we would treat her (minimally for now, which is helping), the thorough hands on exam, etc. The cost for the visit was very reasonable as well. We started going to Hopewell after a bad experience at a different vet, and I am so glad we did. Everyone is so compassionate and knowledgeable, techs and doctors alike. We usually see Dr Bucholtz, but we've also seen Dr Zahn and both of them are fantastic. Our little old lady cat has several health problems so we've had to have a few emergency appointments lately and they've been able to, at the very least, get us in for a tech appointment on short notice. They always take time to answer all of my questions, explain our options, etc. It's been obvious from every interaction I've had with them that they really care about the pets they see.

I am so thankful to the entire staff at Hopewell Veterinary Hospital for taking amazing care of Billy last week when he passed. Dr. Rutkowski showed passionate care and dedication to the best outcome. His amazing support when I had to say goodbye to Billy was something I will always cherish.. The paw print and small clip of hair just touched my heart, less sadness. 💙 Sorry about the sink....long story. I had Billy for almost 8 years and he was an amazing dog. I rescued him from a kill shelter. His owner was in his 20s and died and nobody wanted an old 7 yr old dog. Best veterinary care in the state! So glad I was referred to them after having a very bad experience with 3 others in the area. I had not heard of them prior to March of 2024. I had moved back into the area in 2008 Dr. Rickowski is phenomenal! He is Kind, compassionate & truly dedicated to helping animals. He explains everything very well & doesn’t over complicate with all the medical terms. He’s great with my rescue dog too! Wish I had known about them sooner.
