Holyoke Medical Center Chicopee - WALK-IN CARE

I previously had Joel Leconte as my PCP, and he was truly outstanding. He genuinely cared about me as a patient. Whenever I needed something, he would respond directly or call me himself. I always felt heard, supported, and confident that I was in good hands. He made me feel that my health actually mattered. After he left the center, I was reassigned without any prior notice to Dr. Annabel Espinas. In person, Dr. Espinas is nice, polite, and professional. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ends. If you need anything outside of an office visit, communication is almost nonexistent. She does not return calls, even when explicitly requested, ignores messages through the patient portal, and at times responds in a dismissive or diminishing manner. I do not feel heard or suppo

Every single time I come here the staff and providers are so great! I love that they offer walk ins. The staff is amazing and Sara is always so helpful and so professional and she made sure I was seen. Thank you Sara and thank you to all staff who make it a great experience to come here. I can tell you all care for your patients.

The PA, Melissa Miles, was so understanding and helpful. The office assistants accommodated my walk-in even though I came in soon to closing. Great experience, the best I’ve had at an urgent care thus far!

Last time I was there, there was 1 person in front of me. Well, 4 hrs later I was finally seen. I have to go back again but if it's longer than an hour, I'm outta there! The ER probably would have been faster! LOL And that's crazy 😕 😳

Went yesterday and been told to call back the following day. Ive been calling for hours and on hold just to speak with someone about an important matter and eventually pressed 1 prompt to keep my place in line after waiting an hour just to talk to someone...I was called back over an hour after the call back prompt and for nothing because it was simply an operator taking messages to send them to call me back which defeats the purpose of a call back prompt to keep place in line. The operator took almost 20 min of dead silence to simply write the email to send to call me back. I am now calling again and on hold again and its now going on 50 min (almost another hour) to attempt to reach someone. This is not right when there are patients sick and waiting for scripts. I have screen shots as well
