Hillcrest Medical Center - Emergency Room

I don’t understand the negative reviews. I went here on a Tuesday afternoon because I was running a fever after having a recent surgery. They immediately triaged me, took me in the back, and put me in a room. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional. I had vitals taken, IVs administered, a CT scan, and an ultrasound. I spent about 4 hours in the facility and interacted with 2 doctors, multiple nurses and a few specialists with zero issues. I will admit that when I left, it was busier so perhaps some complaints are based on patient volume but my experience was good.

I had a friend go to the ER for a SANE exam and when she was taken back to talk to the triage nurse, she was told she couldnt get one until she called the cops! She expressed not being comfortable doing that and was told she couldnt not get the exam without doing so and the nurse told her “i can ask but she gets mad when i do it without a police report”. My friend agreed and when the nurse left the room, she just left. She said the nurse wasnt very kind at all, especially given why she was there. Asked her why she didnt want to call the cops and stuff. SANE exams do NOT need a police report. Your website even says so! The nurse also seemed like she was trying to discourage her, telling her “well its going to be a long time before they do it snd the exam itself takes a long time so you’ll b

My boyfriend and I have been waiting here in the waiting room for almost 3 hours. He came in due to his appendix possibly bursting, nobody has called us back at all to get anything done. Nobody has been called back at all in general in the waiting room. My boyfriend just asked how long of a wait it would be to be seen and the girl at the front desk just said “ I don’t know and rolled her eyes”. Like it’s no big deal! I WOULD NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! So disrespectful and nobody here cares about anyone’s health such a bad hospital!

Genuinely the most horrific medical care I have ever received. Do NOT take anyone you care about to this facility. I was experiencing so much abdominal pain that I went unconscious and it took hours to get so much as Tylenol. Then a doctor proceeded to tell me it was my “mensies” before they discharged me. On top of this, a nurse left one of my blood samples on the counter for over an hour.

This receptionist just sat down and ate doordash chilis for hours while we waited for an IV of water. Another hospital sent me here for the IV because im severely dehydrated and handed her my paperwork she said "well that wont make it any faster" all snarky. Unprofessional and she snaps at people who are suffering. She ordered a cab for 2 guys and told another elderly man its not her job to get anyone transportation while she ordered the other guys one. Sat there from 7pm-12am just for an IV of water. While she ate at her desk the whole time. When we asked how long it woild be she snapped "well they arent just gonna give you a room or it".
