Highlands Pharmacy

My sister used to go to Tulsa for her antirejection infusion. She would call ahead, they would prepare the medication and hook her up as soon as she got there. Here, they won't let her call ahead "in case they can't get a needle in". In 10 years of doing this every single month they have gotten a needle in every single time, so this is not a good excuse. Now she's been waiting, with an IV in her arm, for an hour and a half, and will still have a half hour to go whenever the medicine gets here, however long that's going to be. There needs to be a policy change. There's no reason why everyone should have to wait this long because of what might happen with one person.

It just happened again… 5 of 6 trip, calling two days prior, following up the next day, and it’s never even close to ready, like days until they get it straight. It’s like a 3 yr. Old running this place. This far, cost me 9 hours of my time amend more has than I care to calculate. Terrible. Wow. This has become so ridiculous, you have to laugh or cry. I've moved all my meds elsewhere, but a few I can only get at Highlands. This is the 4th or 5th time that they did not have my meds on hand, which is fine - so they ordered them. Everytime I call prior to driving (As driving with cancer and an ostomy is a whole thing) and each time they confirmed my meds were ready to pick up and they would have them at the front. When a cancer diagnosis sets your head spinning with too many meds and procedures, the Highlands Pharmacy staff HELP! This knowledgeable staff is caring and patient(providing the caregiver & patient with info and support to maneuver through the maze of meds) This pharmacy is open to non Highlands Oncology patients. I highly recommend using their expertise.

Excellent care by top doctors and nurses. An interdisciplinary approach which has various specialties under one roof. Brilliant and we'll executed.

We have had excellent service and the staff is always friendly and go above and beyond to help. Cara has been so good to our family and we can’t thank her enough.
