High Point Regional Medical Center – Disappointing and Concerning Experience My mother was rushed to High Point Regional Medical Center by ambulance yesterday, and unfortunately our experience was far from acceptable. From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed noticeably inattentive. Despite the seriousness of her condition, we were left waiting with very little communication or reassurance. The waiting area was chaotic and poorly managed. Several other patients were watching videos on their phones at full volume, and no staff member made any effort to maintain a calm or respectful environment. I had to take my friend to the ER because of fever, chills, and unexplained pain. The check-in process was pretty quick considering it is an ER. Once we got to the back and the nurses were through running in and out, doing test after test, everyone just disappeared! My friend was running at 102 fever, shivering and asking for a blanket. We pressed the call button several times but noone came! I had to go hunt someone down just to be told, "You cant be back here bc of privacy reasons". I told the ignorant woman I would not have to be 'back here' if anyone was paying any attention to the call bell and doing your job! I would give 0 stars if possible. First, I had to wait in line to get thru security with chest pains! Then I was sent to a faster check in due to chest pains and the receptionist sent me back to the front. The front receptionist had to take me back to her and tell her to check me in. They don't have a separate waiting area for non viral patients. Was there for 2 hours and still wasn't in a room or had blood work done. Thankfully, I don't think I was having a heart attack and just left. Absolutely worst care ever

Ikyfl. The lady I was talking too sounded nice but hung up on me. I asked her a ? and then she said she’s gonna transfer me to someone that can help, mind you I was already transferred to her for help by a different lady. So the hold music was playing for a bit and after about about a minute and a half she came back and said have a good day then hung up before I could even respond with “ you too” or anything. Like girly, why you do me like that…smh🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾

They were awesome this time around. The security didn't even stop me she knew I was in distress. The nurses and other staff as well as the Dr did awesome. Update . They backed a wrong diagnosis prolonging suffering till I got the right diagnosis and treatment from another physician at another practice.
