Herkimer Veterinary Associates

I never had a bad experience with either the Herkimer or West Winfield offices. They're always friendly and great with my dog. He is a King Charles Cavalier and this breed is known for certain genetic issues. They thoroughly evaluated my dog as a pup and into his current age of 3 years. He passed every part of his exam ! They are very good with scheduling as I'm disabled and have a health aid that gets me ready for appointments. I try to schedule afternoons for this reason. They never try to sell you anything, but they do have certain pharmaceutical products and flea collars / meds. They also clean up when your pet has an " accident ". I feel very comfortable with BOTH offices and they always get excited to see my dog when I arrive.

Wife called to ask questions about a booster shot on our dog and the woman on the line just said no and hung up. Unprofessional, we had more questions and we were looking to make this our new vet. Needless to say we will not be going here. Our dog was hurt and these people turned their backs on him. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

One of our dog went after our cat and did a lot of internal damage. Baseball size hole in the muscle wall, spleen cut in half, small hole in the diaphragm. Our cat needed over 3 hour of surgery. They were very understanding, caring and knowledgeable. They work together as a team. So thankfully for them.

Kind and compassionate. Great at answering questions and were very kind to me when I had to put my cat down.

Everyone from the secretary and the assistance to the vet tecs and the Veterinarians themselves are so friendly and pleasant. They All made our puppies visit very easy and enjoyable. The puppies both needed shots and the staff made them so comfortable I'm not sure if the dogs even noticed. Overall a great experience and a great place to go for your pets needs...
