HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland

Absolutely hands down HCA Houston Mainland should be shut down. My husband spent approx 9 hours in ER (Came in by Ambulance). None of the staff got in any hurry to do anything. They did not offer him any food. When he finally got to his room, they brought him a meal. It was nice and the only meal he was able to eat during his stay. The RN's were great nurses. The nurses aids were a nightmare. They did not know how to operate the bed. They did not get in a rush to do anything. His breakfast tray stayed until lunch. His lunch tray stayed until dinner tray was brought. He was so upset he was going to leave with or without a proper discharge.. His PCP ordered a discharge for that evening. He was finally discharged and left at approx 7:30 PM. He had been there From Sunday am to M

The Hospital is excellent, The Staff was Awesome from the lady at the front desk and the nurses, assistants, Doctors, every single person did great!! I had a inguinal Hernia fixed and all the procedure was smooth. I would recommend HCA with my eyes wide shut.

Professional customer service began when I received a call from Leslie informing me of my upcoming procedure. When I arrived I was greeted and registered by Margie, who is kind and helpful. After checking in, the health care staff, the orthopedic surgeon and the anesthesiologist were all customer service friendly. I felt very comfortable and experienced less stress and less nervousness than I expected because of the friendly demeanor and knowledge of all involved.

My anesthesiologist, Dr. Cline, was by far the greatest person/doctor ever. He always started my IV and made me feel really good about my surgery. I did have an issue with one of the nurses. I had a lot of procedures as an all-in-one surgery done and it ran over what it was supposed to be. The nurses were tired and ready to go home and I get that but I couldn't pee after the surgery I was in literal tears trying to pee after have my bladder suspension and the hospital only had ICU vacancies so instead of worrying about my health and what I needed the nurses were vying for a catheter and to send me home, knowing the amount of surgeries I was having and the amount of pain I was in. My nurse was great but the nurse that had to wait around was literally bitching because she couldn't go home ye

The entire interaction from ER to being admitted was a good experience. My nurses Cat & Debbie were amazing on the floor I was on. All of the staff were amazing. The hospital has come a long way since the last time I was there years ago.
