HCA HealthONE Aurora

The emergency room was an experience I never want to have to go through again. They weren’t listening to what I’m telling them and just making their own decisions. I pressed the red button to call for someone and they never responded but turned off the red button so then eventually I get up out the bed and then they want to talk through the red button asking what am I doing. They hardly came into the room to check on me, yet I was there for a high heart rate, with chest discomfort, etc. They discharged me even though the second I stood up my heart rate went right back up while I was still symptomatic with lightheadedness, dizziness, etc.

I had a great experience accompanying my father for his procedure at HCA HealthOne Aurora. The check-in process was quick and easy, and everything moved smoothly from start to finish. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable, which made the entire visit much more comfortable. Thank you to the entire team for providing such excellent care and a stress-free experience!

If I could do zero stars I would. I came in for vomiting blood and was checked in fairly quick. The first nurse to walk me in my room was nice and sweet, we had an incident where my son fell an gave himself a bloody nose and she was quick attentive and sweet. The next couple of nurses who came In for my care were rude. They were very dismissive, didnt talk.me through the process of anything they were doing. I came in cause I kad never experienced blood in my vomit before and I am 7 weeks pregnant. They gave me an ultrasound but refused to let me view the screen or print me and ultrasound picture. The woman performing the ultrasound was clearly just irritated with having to do her job. Asked why I came in, I explained and she made a scrunched up face and said "okay and you need an ultrasoun

Called to see about hernia surgery..Heather answered and my exact words were “Hi, I just didn’t know how to go about scheduling..I received a referral.” Mind you my tone of voice is always very bubbly and trying to be as mindful that most people are dealing with a lot. She was so unpleasant and had a very arrogant tone of voice saying “So you wouldn’t do that here..you would call the surgery.” Most of the time you think if you are trained in how to help people you would be like “I can give you a number” no she was silent until I asked “oh okay, do you happen to have a number?” And again with her arrogant tone she says “Well there are a lot of offices.” So I told her I would rather not go somewhere, that allows their representatives to treat people that way over ONE question. The best aspect of being in the hospital are the smart, dedicated, caring and compassionate nurses. Our nurses were infinitely patient, responsive and efficient in an environment that is demanding and understaffed. No hospital stay is pleasant but the nurses that serve people at time of vulnerability and pain deserve far more recognition and gratitude than they receive. We are deeply appreciative of their care.
