My wife and I had an awful experience with Dr. Sandhu. I can't speak to his surgical competence because we were so turned off by our initial consultation with him yesterday. He was abrasive, rude, and dismissive. My wife has been suffering with a disc herniation for the past six months and has been completely incapacitated and immobilized for the past week in excruciating pain. We've seen a few other spine surgeons but wanted to see Dr. Sandhu to get his assessment based on referrals from other docs and his reputation as co-chief of spine surgery at HSS. He told my wife that her pain was not consistent with a disc herniation, that it's her pain specialist doctor's (who is a fellow HSS colleague) responsibility to control her pain, that he couldn't do anything to help her, and if she's seen

I saw Dr Sandhu for a second opinion for cervical disc surgery. He thoroughly reviewed my tests and medical records and also did a detailed physical exam. Dr. Sandhu explained my options, recommending I see a physiologist for nonsurgical treatments. I appreciate his honest opinion and the time he spend answering all my questions. I would highly recommend him. Also, he was on time and his office staff were very pleasant.

I had a year of being told my buttock pain was not the result of my spondyloisthesis and/or spinal stenosis from multiple top rated organizations and specialists. I was in excruciating pain and overwhelmed with prescriptions that did not help. Dr Sandhu accepted the fact that I had a unusual clinical presentation and absolutely knew that he could reduce my pain and improve my life. I am 8 weeks post and making fantastic progress. I hope to be able to cycle again soon and be as active as I was before my year long misdiagnosis and poor medical advice. I will be forever grateful to Dr Sandhu and his excellent team.

It has been a month exactly since my surgery, and I am so happy it finally happened. Despite the necessary pain of recovery, I could feel my spine finally aligned the day after surgery. Dr. Sandhu is a star, not only as a surgeon but also on a human level. I trusted him from the beginning and I'm lucky I found him. Elizabeth was also so patient and professional dealing with my insurance company and my concerns.

Dr. Sandhu and his staff are amazing. After my 3rd spinal surgery with Dr. Sandhu , I am eternally grateful to have mobility , strength and a great amount of confidence in his abilities. I would not trust anyone else as much !! Thank you 🙏 plus he is so sweet and compassionate and calming! I will see him this Monday and so so grateful.
