Harry N. Snyder, OD

I've been a patient of Harry for probably 18-20 years. He has always provided good conservative care and appropriate recommended glasses, laser surgery and now contacts. Although there is some feeling of making sure the visit is monetized to the fullest extent possible, I feel the care and attention to detail has been worth the time and expense. My wife uses another doctor in the practice and is also satisfied with her doctor. We recently used Dr. Solomon, also from this practice, for Cataract removal and lens insertion for both of my wife's eyes - he too has proven to be 5 star in his performance and attitude. I have recommended this practice to many of my friends.

I have been a patient of Dr. Snyder's for approximately 12 years. My experience is always pleasant and informative. He also recommended Dr. Solomon for my pterigia. The technician on my most recent visit was also informative about the exams and very pleasant. The optician (Ms. Martinez) was knowledgeable and very helpful in helping me choose the best pair of glasses and other essentials for my new pair of glasses. I recommend and have recommended Northern VA Doctors of Optometry to others.

I have been a patient of Dr. V for many years. She has been the best eye doctor I've ever had. She is thoughtful, thorough, and gives me the best lenses I have had. And she has spotted problems early when they were easy to fix.

My wife and I have been patients at Northern Virginia Doctors of Optometry for many years. We have been very pleased with the professionalism of the doctors and the office staff. Except in case of the very infrequent emergency, we are always seen promptly. You are encouraged to purchase glasses from the opticians that are part of the organization (we tend to do so), but that, of course, is not necessary. I see Dr. Snively (for contact lenses and glasses), and my wife sees Dr. Synder (for glasses).

From what I understand, the other optometrists at this office are good. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I have been visiting optometrists regularly for twenty years, but Dr. Snyder was by far the most unpleasant. He was rude and dismissive of my questions about my prescription. As he did the exam, he often did not ask me which lens was better, but would say for me "this one is better", which I have never had an optometrist do before. When he told me my current prescription was too strong and when I wanted to compare his recommendation with my current prescription a little more, he became really defensive and essentially told me that if I wanted to strain my eyes, that was my business and that he wasn't going to argue with me.
