Hamlin Groves Dental Care

Probably the best dentistry I've been to. The front desk staff is kind and efficient, the hygienists are thorough and give you a step by step of what they're doing, and the doctors are caring and honest. My biggest plus was that they never charge you without your knowledge. During my appointment, the hygienist or front desk showed me exactly how much each procedure was, what my insurance was able to cover, and what I had to pay. I love when a doctors office is up front with their patients! I can't recommend them enough!

I absolutely love love love my experience every single time I have an appointment. Here is my backstory: Dr. Orlando had been my dentist at a previous Dental Facility and my experience there was great but fast forward, Dr. Orlando leaves that office and I promised myself I would not go to another Dentist. Well Unfortunately I went over 2 years without any dental work because I was just that dedicated to the work Dr. Orlando had done and I didn’t want to have to start all over with another Dentist. I had looked and searched with no luck and in the midst of those two years, there was a point where other life affairs took priority. So one day I decided to search for Dr. Orlando online and two different offices came up but when I called Hamlin Groves Dental Care I was super excited I found Dr.

Do NOT recommend unless you want to be scammed and pressured into paying for things you don’t need. Paid an extra $75 to get a “cancer screening” which took all of 5 seconds. Paid at the visit, but they’ve been calling me trying to collect the money a second time. Very rude front office employee. During my cleaning visit, it just felt like they were trying to sell me on everything. Mouth guard, clear spacers for my teeth?! Definitely don’t need those. Anything they could throw at me they were trying to collect on. This dental office is for profit only. Save your money and find somewhere else who actually cares about their patients.

Even before I stepped into the office, I was impressed! The scheduling process was extremely thorough, and the staff was so patient and helpful when it came to dealing with my insurance questions and issues. That level of care and attention carried through my entire experience. Once I arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The customer service was outstanding!! every staff member was kind and professional. Carmen made sure my 87 years old mom, (the patient) and I felt comfortable the whole time. The rest of the dental team was also very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my visit. It’s rare to find a dental office that combines expertise, friendliness, and true patient care so well. Highly recommend!

The dentist and service is fine but the billing practices leave a lot to be desired. You have to know your insurance pretty well and don’t trust their estimates they have you sign as they will not check eligibility or use. Literally showed us $0 estimates and then charged us months later bc the insurance declined it. When questioned, they said we signed it and when I said, well yeah…but was it $0? They replied, well it is just an estimate. Just very odd as I have never had a dentist or doctor estimate $0 and then check eligibility after service. In the same visit they tried to charge out of pocket for a service I know is included. Thankfully I’m only out $120. If it was a more expensive service, it’d be a different story. Dentist is nice.
