Dr Tierney replaced both knees. One 5 years ago and one 3 years ago. I had no problems with recovery. Yes, it was hard but it a hard recovery process. I had been going to him for several years before the knee replacements. He is the best! He is straight forward, tells it like it is, and answers questions truthfully. I’ve also seen him for shoulder issues. I couldn’t ask for a better Dr. I’ve always gotten an appointment in good time. Yes, they get busy- I’d rather go to a busy active office than one with no patience.

I am happy to share a review for Dr. John Tierney of Greater Boston Orthopedic Center. I had been with a team of orthopedics at Brigham and Women's at Patriot's Place the past nine weeks for a severe knee injury. In our first visit today I learned more about my injury through the careful and thorough analysis he gave as we looked at the MRI together than in the previous nine weeks at Brigham and Women's! I feel very confident that he has the experience, expertise and communications skills that will help me through this healing process.

Started with office staff. While attempting to make an appointment, Kate kept speaking to several people in the office at the same time. I asked her on more than one occasion if she needed to put me on hold. She made it VERY clear that they would be in an extreme rush to get out of the office on my appt day so they did not have to deal with traffic in Boston. Were supposed to send paperwork and appt details along with phone number for me to text when I arrived for appt. Never showed. Called twice. Finally arrived the day before at 1600 ish. Arrive 30 minutes prior to appt at the request of Kate with paperwork in hand all filled out. 45 minutes after my scheduled appt, I am still sitting in the blazing sun in the parking lot awaiting a text.
