My parents both see Dr Palmer. If you need great care, we highly recommend him. He and his nurse make you feel comfortable and and communicate openly with you. After seeing how they care for my parents, I would let them care for any member of my family.

My dad sees Dr Palmer at this clinic. He was recently in the hospital and went home with nhome care services. Dr Palmer and his nurse Jennifer were on top of everything we needed as soon as we called. Dad's follow up visit was great and Dr Palmer addressed every concern we had. He never rushes through an appointment with us.

It's interesting how negative reviews disappear from the reviews for this practice. All I had to say was that the patient has NO voice when it comes to being seen here. I struggled to be seen due to my dr leaving in the middle of some serious health issues which turned out to be a brain aneurysm. Dr Hartford couldn't have cared less to hear anything I had to say. I recorded my visit because he was the same at my very first visit. I repeatedly asked why he was focusing on past health issues instead of what I've been dealing with more recently. He insisted I just needed to take Cymbalta which I told him I had tried 3 different times and the side effects greatly outweighed the benefits bit he didn't care to hear anything I said. Days after my appt I was sent a dismissal letter stating that

I am speaking on behalf of my wife and myself, as we both are patients of Dr. Christopher Palmer. We felt so blessed to have discovered this practice, after having retired and moved to this area. Dr. Palmer has acclimated us both, very easily and skillfully, to our new lifestyle. He has worked hard getting us both to our optimum levels of health, running all the appropriate tests, addressing any and all of our health concerns, making referrals, when called for. We never have trouble getting in to see him and the office is always very friendly, as well as helpful and professional. We highly recommend this practice in general, and Dr. Palmer, in particular.

Jessica Payne is amazing. She has been our PCP for four years. She is extremely knowledgeable and up to date on current treatments and medications. Jessica is thorough, a great listener, and always gives you all the time you need. I highly recommend her. Great Smokies Family Medicine is a great clinic for all your primary care needs.
