Goldberger's Pharmacy

Goldbergers Pharmacy is a rare find and truly exceptional. In a world dominated by big chain pharmacies, it’s refreshing to experience a place that actually picks up the phone, knows what they’re doing, and genuinely takes responsibility for your prescriptions. They consistently answer calls quickly (no endless hold music), fill prescriptions efficiently, and — most impressively — go out of their way to track down hard-to-find medications when other pharmacies just shrug. You’re never treated like a number in a system. The level of professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through is exactly what you hope for but rarely get at large chains. If you’re tired of impersonal service and long waits, Goldbergers is the solution.

Goldberger's Pharmacy is a classic UES spot with a lot of history. The staff is friendly and accommodating—they helped sort my prescription and insurance quickly, and the walk-in vaccinations were easy. Convenient location on 1st Ave, same-day delivery is handy, and they have a good selection of supplies. It's 3 stars though because waits can drag when busy (feels a bit understaffed sometimes), and prices on some items are higher than chains. Decent for locals, but nothing exceptional.

I love Goldberger's Pharmacy. The team including Bobby, Tony and Kathy are super helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating, supportive and kind. I love that it is a locally owned, private pharmacy right on the UES. They answer the phone, they know me when I walk in the door, and they are fast and convenient. I always have questions and they answer them immediately and with good information. They even deliver! Started going here during COVID to get vaccinated and immediately felt taken care of and supported. I have highly recommended Goldberger's to everyone in my building...especially when the big box stores closed down. It is wonderful to support a fabulous local business, that supports it's community for over a hundred years. I hope they keep going and going.

This place is amazing! Never a line to pick up prescriptions, always answers the phone, are kind and helpful. You can ask the pharmacist questions and not have to wait an hour. I've never felt like I could actually ask questions, but here they actually want to help you. I trust this pharmacy. I used to dread picking up my prescriptions at another pharmacy because the line was through the entire store and they were never helpful. I can't believe this pharmacy existed all the years I went to the other store. Highly recommend to everyone.
