Gentle Dental Tigard

Had the unfortunate need to have a tooth extracted, I was referred by my dentist from the Sherwood office. The oral surgeon was absolutely wonderful! He explained all my options and did a fantastic job with the entire procedure. His assistant was also great and the staff in the office made the experience very pleasant. Very was very much appreciate the service I received.

First of all I want to apologize again to the staff at this location…i obviously didn’t follow all of the procedures for the general anesthesia and my overreaction was unwarranted. Now for the good news…after composing myself and speaking with the employees and having a brief consultation with Dr. Wang he determined (and I confirmed) that nitrous oxide was the way to go. Overall the procedure took less than an hour and the general anesthesia was a good choice. The employees were tolerant and very friendly and Dr. Wang explained what was going on while I couldn’t feel my face. I would recommend him and the entire staff of Gentle Dental to anyone need any dental work.

Took my mother in with a referral to have a tooth extracted. They took a detailed x-ray and gave us the option of not extracting it based on age and other factors. I was so pleased with their honest recommendation, giving us a choice. They could’ve easily just pulled it and taken the money.

I am very happy to have found this Gentle Dental location so close by. From reception to a temp hygienist assistant, all the way to Dr. Walkup everything flowed smoothly. Everyone I encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. Appointments were set within a reasonable time frame.

I called to see if they accept my insurance and got transferred to the scheduling department. The person helping me told me my insurance isn’t accepted at their location, only at the Milwaukie office and that the earliest appointment they have is in April. Since it’s currently December and my crown fell off, I tried to explain that I was hoping to be seen sooner. She just said “okay” and then hung up. I was honestly taken aback. April is about four months away and I wasn’t expecting the call to end so abruptly. Even a brief explanation, transfer, or simple goodbye would have made the interaction feel more professional.
