Gentle Dental Sherwood

The people at this office are amazing. I was concerned about some of my treatment process, and he was patient, and kind in explaining it all to me. I have not been to the dentist in many years because of fear. I am so happy with the work that he has done so far. My mouth is healthier, and looks better! Thank you everyone there!

Advised me to get a procedure to help save enamel on certain teeth. Did not tell me the exact procedure until seconds before, even though I asked. I could not physically complete the procedure and would never had agreed to it if I had the information. Also, prior to the procedure I apparently needed to have my teeth flossed and polished...well this gal was HARSH. I have never in my 55 years experienced being flossed and polished so roughly...pinning my lips to my teeth multiple times, hitting my lips with the polishing tool, and AGGRESSIVELY flossing my teeth. I floss at least twice daily if not more and this flossing made me bleed.

I have concerns with Gentle Dental related to trust and transparency. I feel like I am often being upsold on procedures that are not clearly necessary and are not covered by insurance. Preventive treatments are presented as expectations without enough explanation of why they are needed, how urgent they are, or what happens if I choose to wait or monitor instead. What has really affected my confidence is the inconsistency between different Gentle Dental locations. Over the years I have been given different treatment recommendations depending on which office I went to. When the information and proposed interventions don’t match from one Gentle Dental to another, it becomes very difficult to tell what is truly clinically necessary versus what is optional or revenue driven. We had an amazing experience! We had a scheduling conflict and they were still able to get us in to see the doctor, thank you to their amazing receptionist! The doctor, hygienist, and all his staff were professional and kind. Made our dental experience even better.

You are all compassionate, friendly, professional. Thank you for your help and care, you have a wonderful staff, everyone took the time to explain, and they were extremely courteous.
