I went to this urgent care two nights ago, arriving 33 minutes before closing time. There was one other patient before me, and within 10 minutes I was in a room being seen. That part is great. But holy cow. At the end of my appointment I walk out of the exam room. The provider doesn’t tell me which way to go. I take some twists and turns. It’s desolate. Not a soul in sight. I finally find the lobby where I came in but it’s all dark. I go through the automatic doors to get into that lobby. The desk lights are off, waiting room lights are off, nobody is around. I get to the second set of automatic doors to exit the building but they are locked. I turn to go back through the automatic doors to get to the hallway and it too is locked. 🤔 I slide it. 0 stars if I could. Ended up paying $957 (got charged $3000) for an issue that can be cured for $25 over the counter because Leah Merrick is incompetent. Not only did they give me tests that came out normal, but they continued to assume that this was the problem. She even lied to me and said that a doctor from a different location looked at the test results and recommended further blood testing. Then she sent me to the location of the doctor. I asked the doctor if he recommended the additional blood test. He did not and said she recommended it, so Leah lied. Thank goodness I didn't get the unnecessary test because my bill would've been a several hundred dollars more. Avoid this location because they will send you elsewhere when their staff is unable to fix your issue, which I suspect happ

Tonight was the second time I went to this Urgent Care and I'm still sadly disappointed. The first time I went there I told the PA that I had a sinus infection she gave me a real low-grade antibiotic I asked for a Z-Pak she told me we do not treat sinus infections with Z packs. I ended up getting even more sick from the antibiotic and had to go to the hospital. For stomach issues because I was severely dehydrated from throwing up so much. I spoke to my doctor about it and she told me yes we do treat sinus infections with z-pack and you've had them multiple times and it's in your file. Today I went and I know I have a sinus infection and wasn't given antibiotics I was offered a decongestant only. It's super classic of this particular urgent care to not listen to their patients. I was a walk in and two people were in front of me. The receptionist called me and told me that I was going to be there for 2 hours before I was seen. And when I told her what I needed; which was get swabbed for the flu or Covid she told me that I had better luck with the over the counter test because they wouldn’t even swab me. She didn’t refer me to somewhere that I could get swabbed. It was a waste of time

Went to this Geisinger Satellite in June for the first time. I was greeted by Marsha(Receptionist) with a smile who was both efficient and kind. Michelle T.(phlebotomist) took my blood sample without any discomfort and Zoe the Technician efficiently did my EKG. For my second visit, I was greeted by Shantese Wilson another delightful person. Alison Galka set me up for my Urinalysis and luckily she was there a bit later which saved me from having to come back on another day. If you haven’t been at this location, don’t hesitate to try it. These employees will keep me coming back whenever I need testing.
