Galax Health and Rehab

My poppow was in a different facility before he came here. When he was at the other facility he was so out of it,and slept a awful lot. He hasn't even been here a week,and ive seen so much improvement in him,hes up and aware and alert. The nurses ive came in contact with are all so very helping and caring towards him. The facility is clean and my poppow has been clean and in different outfits. Can't wait to continue to seeing his progress.

Galax health and rehab I'll give him this much the place is clean. I've been here approximately two weeks, I have yet to get a hot meal. Don't get me started on the portion size of the meals, my 2-year-old grandson could eat more than that. The staff that I deal with on a day-to-day basis is so understaffed. When you push the call button for the nurse,sometimes they come right away sometimes they take forever. I have had to wait for up to 40 min. Medical attention don't hold your breath. It takes forever to get anything accomplished.

I visited a friend at this facility and I was absolutely shocked, amazed, and impressed. This place was a complete 360 turn around from what I saw a few years ago. The room was very clean. His tray of food actually looked edible. The CNA's were on the halls working and not sitting at the desk on their phones. Everyone was very nice. My friend said he was very pleased with his care and happy there. A lot of new staff members there which is a very good thing. I was very impressed with the changes. Keep up the good work. Like I said a few years ago I would not have given a review. There is good and bad everywhere and in every line of work and being short staffed is a nightmare. This facility has turned things around and the places looks great and most importantly my friend is being taken

I have truly never received such expert, comprehensive and friendly care. Across the board, administration, CNA's, LPN's, RN's, doctors, custodial and kitchen are incredible. I feel safe and protected.
