Frederick Health Urgent Care (Urbana)

I’ve been coming here for years for myself and my kids. I love this place. They have always been very fast, thorough, and kind. I have never had a negative experience here and I probably come here 10 times per year between me and my kids. There is usually no more than a 5-10 minute wait. I can’t say enough good things about them.

This is the worst urgent care that I have ever been to. I took my 8 years old son with high fever and cough to be seen. They made me to wait for 3 hours and when I asked with check-in desk lady in the middle about wait time , she rudely answered me that 'I told you there are other patients ahead of you in the beginning'. She does not show any empathy to the patient. I waited for 3 hours just to be seen for 10 minutes by assistant, you can imagine. They should name as 'slow care' not the urgent care.

The front desk lady was so sweet. The doctor and the nurse I saw was so kind. Everyone there was very comforting. They took care of me very well and I was very happy about the care here. And there was really no wait time I was practically the only one there there was only one person ahead of me, and that was it. The office Was super clean and quiet. But most of all I really love the doctor because she listened to me very well and she was very sympathetic and really cared about what was going on and treated me very well. I left there with the big smile and got the care that I needed.

Terrible urgent care experience! Today, my 3-year-old daughter tested positive for the flu, but the doctor refused to prescribe any medication! She said my daughter wasn’t sick enough yet and just needed to drink water. When I explained that her brother had the flu with a 104°F fever and that my daughter would likely have the same by night, the doctor didn’t care. And in the evening, my poor child’s fever spiked dramatically! We will never go to this urgent care again! Absolutely incompetent doctor!

The front lady is not very helpful at all. She keeps sitting people down and not even giving them paperwork to even to get started and over 30 minutes of sitting down for her to finally give us paperwork Then she says that our insurance is not working so we had to leave. I check with my insurance and it’s completely activated and even that same day we use our insurance at the doctors for my other daughter. Honestly, I think that she is turning people away because she just doesn’t wanna work. other people that were in the waiting room that were there before us they stood up and just walked out.
