Frederick Health Hospital Emergency Department

We just delivered our first baby at Frederick Health and were worried about the quality of care we would receive. However the labor and delivery nurses were fantastic and went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable. A special shout out to nurse Shannon and Lindsay for outstanding patient care for my wife. Highly reccomend and we were treated fairly and professionally.

I went to the ER at Frederick Hospital with severe abdominal pain on a busy Friday night and was seen surprisingly quickly. Every nurse and doctor was kind, patient, and explained each step so I knew exactly what to expect. I was admitted for surgery and cared for on Floor 3B, where the nurses were absolute rock stars—compassionate, attentive, and on top of my pain management. My surgeon, Dr. Jasmine Malcom, was wonderful. She took the time to explain everything, answered all my questions, and brought such a positive, upbeat energy (literally singing through the halls!). I was in town for a girls weekend with my best friends 2.5 hours from home when I landed myself admitted to Frederick Hospital for severe abdominal pain. I was quickly seen and my pain was addressed immediately with strong but necessary pain meds. Following a CT scan I was diagnosed with appendicitis (necrotic appendix) and admitted right away. From the wonderful, sweet, caring nurse (Emma) in the ED to my floor 3 nurses (special shout out to my girl Skyler who truly treated me as if I was a close friend and her only patient) everyone was AMAZING. I’ve been hospitalized for kidney stones as well as delivering my 3 kids at a hospital at a hospital closer to home and have always been impressed but I have to say Frederick far exceeded me expectations

I had to visit this ER a few weeks ago due to a stomach bug that caused me to be dehydrated. I typically wouldn't visit the ER for a stomach flu but I am 17 weeks pregnant so I wanted to avoid dehydration to be safe. The nurses and PAs who helped me were so amazing and tentative. Despite the ER being completely busy (I worked in an ER for years and they were as busy as it gets) they made sure I got hooked up to an IV immediately and administered zofran so I could start feeling better. I walked out of there feeling brand new and I couldn't be more appreciative of the care I received.

I see a lot of negative reviews and wanted to take the time to share my positive experience... I recently visited Frederick Hospital ER for dizziness and chest pains, and I was very pleased with the care I received. From the start, Nurse Regina was outstanding — warm, efficient, and professional. She had me set up for testing within 30 minutes, which helped ease my anxiety. The nurse practitioner was thorough and explained that my initial test results looked normal but recommended repeating some tests just to be safe. I appreciated the cautious approach, though I felt comfortable declining and chose to be discharged. The team respected my decision and had me on my way within half an hour.
