Foot & Ankle Specialists of New Mexico

Recently my wife went in for a checkup. Surgery did not go well for her as she’s had issues with healing. All doctors visits here are quick. She’s been in a lot of pain. Unfortunately my wife wasn’t able to get in sooner over here despite us letting them know it was urgent. Finally after months of waiting the day came for her appointment. We waited. We spoke with who I presume to be an RN who got down a basic assessment. When he saw her foot, his expression looked concerned since the swelling is obvious. When it was time to see the doctor, he was in the room for no more than five minutes. We advised that she is in a lot of pain and asked what we can do to help with relief. His answer? And I quote, “I don’t know”. He recommended a cat scan and nothing more. $60 for an “I don’t know” answer

First of all, I really liked Dr. Strange. I would have given this group a "5"; however, I had a question on appointment day regarding my appt. time. I called the office several times and I would get disconnected after a few rings. Shouldn't they have a system with an answering service?? I think the group was out to lunch that day when I tried to call, and that's fine - but have a system where patients can leave a message.

My husbands appt was okay. I thought there was dried blood around one of his toenails but she didn’t seem to notice. The toe is puffy and red but she advised tea tree oil. Meh.

Dr Callie Morlock did a great job dealing with my toe issue. She was professional, explained exactly what the steps were and why. As she went through the procedure she checked to make sure I understood and was comfortable as she completed the process. I definitely recommend Foot & Ankle Specialists of New Mexico.

Hands down the best surgeon! Ive had two surgeries with Dr Strange and he has the best bedside manners, and I’m never left wondering what the plan of action is for my care. HIGHLY recommend him!
