The building is beautiful. Unfortunately, the care is awful. They are short staffed all of the time. There are a few good people but most can careless. We have someone with my mom most of the time because don'tchange them frequently and feed them. Tray are just left sitting when you can't feed your self. We couldn't make it during the ice storm, when I made there my mom was soaked and had a open sore. No one there had noticed it. The would not return the nurses calls for orders over the weekend.

My wife Suarez was under Five Points care in Desoto Tx and they were very professional and caring staff. I am very grateful to all the staff for providing the best care. I highly recommend Five Points in Desoto to anyone who is looking for a place to care for their love one.

Attitudes of most Cna's could use drastic improvement. Constant turnover of Aids. I'm so sick of hearing "that's not my hall." If there are Aids sitting around, if a resident in ANY hall, their needs should be met. Rarely, can a nurse be found to ask a question. And if one is available, I'm told my family member is not their patient. The nurses do the feedings as well. No reception, no code # to enter facility and a person must wait for a staff member to buzz them in to the facility. A lot of "lip" service with no outcome.
