FastMed Urgent Care

I'm from out of state working on the hurricane relief project. I crushed the tip of my finger and needed someplace to check it out. I came across this urgent care location which was close to where we are staying. The staff and Dr were amazing. Being for out of state they made me feel at home. The service was top notch. As long as I am in this area working they will be my first choice in minor medical care. Thank you all for the care!!!!!

In and out super fast—booking online made everything easy. Front desk staff and the medical assistant were both friendly and welcoming. Kevin, the NP, was professional and efficient—more straightforward and businesslike in his approach, but clearly on top of things and focused on getting me taken care of quickly. Overall, a great experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again.

My first reaction using FastMed Urgent Care was satisfactory because of almost a two hour wait to be seen by a nurse practitioner. Once I got into a procedure room I was given one on one attention. I was there because of a fall that required stitches on my chin. At least I was an adult who could hold a compress on my chin until I saw the NP, Kyle. A child would have had blood all over the place. The atending nurse, Jessica, took all of my vital signs and then I was examed by the NP. He checked to make sure I did not have any head trauma since I landed on my chin and stretched the neck muscles. I passed all of the tests. Next was the cleaning of the wound. Some type of cleaner was wipped on my face and then three bowls of sterile water was used to get the debris inbedded in my chin out

I went on line and made an appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by the receptionist and filled out the necessary paperwork. I was taken back to a room and asked a few more questions. The PA on duty arrived within minutes and he gave me various tests for my complaints. I felt respected and was treated with concern. I would highly recommend this urgent care facility. It was clean and well maintained.

The only problem I had was , I thought that when you reserve a time it was an appointment, but it wasn't. When I got there the front desk girl (who was very friendly) said it would be about a 2 hour wait because I had 10 people ahead of me. I decided to stick it out because I was not going to go to the ER for the condition I had. I will say they were quicker. I only had to wait like 30 minutes. The doctor was really professional and very people friendly. So it was not a bad experience.
