Family Dental of Palatine

I had an excellent experience at this dental office. The entire team was welcoming, professional, and very attentive from the moment I walked in. Dr. Wajih Chammae took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. The office is clean, organized, and runs very efficiently. I truly appreciate the level of care and attention to detail. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a trustworthy and skilled dentist.

I am leaving this review to warn others about my experience with this facility. I went in for a routine cleaning, but the doctor decided to perform a deep cleaning during the same visit. When the claim was submitted to my insurance, it was denied for medical necessity. Instead of properly appealing the denial, the office billed me directly for the denied amount. I contacted my insurance myself and was told very clearly that the denial was due to insufficient supporting documentation. My insurance specifically requested that the office submit a written appeal with proper clinical documentation to support medical necessity. This was completely within the office’s responsibility. Over several months, I had to call this office 2–3 times every month just to follow up. Nothing was resolved. I

In my experience, this office is not respectful of patients’ time. Despite receiving multiple calls confirming my appointment, I ended up waiting more than 30 minutes past my scheduled time with no update or acknowledgment. I ultimately had to leave due to other commitments. There was no apology and no communication throughout the wait.

Wajih and the staff at Family Dental are extremely kind and patient. Dr. Chammae was so good at explaining the procedure, was really supportive and positive during it, and explained what to do and not to do for the next few days. He really knows what he's doing and I would trust him to work on my whole family. I cannot recommend him enough.

Very good experience. Cleaned my teeth super super well and all the staff were very nice and easy to talk to. The dentist was super sweet and smart. 10/10
