Family Care, PA

I’ve had a great experience with Family Care PA over the last year and a half as my primary care provider. They’re always able to get me in within a few days when I need an appointment, which makes things very convenient. I also really appreciate that they take the time to listen and address any concerns. It’s clear they care about their patients and are always available when you need them.

We really like our provider and have seen her several times over the past few years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. My husband and I scheduled our annual appointments back to back. We have three kids, one vehicle, and are doing our best to manage the situation responsibly. When all of our kids became sick the day of the appointment (naturally), I called the office as a courtesy to communicate this and to confirm whether we could still keep our appointments. My intention was simply to give the office a heads-up and suggest a reasonable solution (such as the kids staying in the car while we came in one at a time). My primary is good. The office itself seems poorly managed. My prescription is controlled and therefore cannot be filled until a few days before it's empty and requires me to come in for a quarterly checkup. My primary was on vacation when my prescription ran out and I was due for my quarterly. I went for my quarterly with a fill-in physician and they seem incapable of filling it. The fact that there doesn't seem to be any sort of patient care continuity plan is very concerning. I'm currently suffering the side-effects of not having my medication for nearly a week and having to argue with their admin assistant who can't seem to understand that patient medication shouldn't be withheld just because the primary went on vacation. I’ve been a patient here for over three years now and have always been happy with them. They respond quickly through the patient portal and correspond with insurance really effectively. The entire practice is women providers and my provider Brooke is awesome. They always help me when I have questions or need clarifications and are a Clear Pricing Provider through my insurance. Very happy!

I've been going to Family Care, PA now for years and I have never had anything but great experiences. The clinic is cozy and comfortable and the staff is always friendly and supportive. I've been seeing Brooke Barkley for a little while now and she's very supportive and open to hearing my opinions and answers questions. I would 100% recommend this practice.
