Exeter Hospital used to be a place where patients could feel safe, heard, and respected. I was directed to the ER by my primary care provider, expecting evaluation and support. Instead, my experience was significantly worse than when I arrived. My evaluation was minimal and rushed. I was given short, surface-level solutions without meaningful discussion of my medical history, context, or symptoms. There was no collaborative interaction—just a brief triage followed by “here, take these.” When I asked clarifying questions and attempted to share relevant personal history, my efforts were interpreted as being argumentative. I paused, reset, and made a conscious effort to communicate calmly and respectfully. Despite this, the provider became contentious and abruptly stated he was discharging

I went here because of mesenteric lymph nodes which I've had for over two years that throb most of the day. I met with an oncologist who gossiped to the staff which is so unprofessional. He took a lot of test to try to find what might be going on which I give him credit for doing. My last day there, I had a colonoscopy which was fine. The Doctor who performed the colonoscopy was looking up at a white board in the room. He turned and questioned? "Your mesenteric lymph nodes have healed all by themselves"??? I responded - NO! They are throbbing now and the Dr. just gave me a perception. I now have an appointment coming up at Brigham and Women who first diagnosed me with Lymphoma. I'm very sick and have lost a lot of weight.

Going to this hospital is genuinely the worst experience I have ever had in my 31 years of existence. I moved to NH recently and had to come to the emergency room here. If you want to be met by condescending nurses and front desk staff, then Exeter hospital is the place to go. They claim on their website that they "put their values into action everyday" well unfortunately the staff you hire don't follow that. I have never been made out to feel like such a burden, it doesn't help when staff gossip about patients as soon as they leave your room and they do not care if you hear. I would rather travel to a farther hospital, even if I was on my death bed. At least at another hospital you will be met with respect and have your dignity upheld. Once discharged, I literally sat in the room crying b

Genuinely had a great experience here today - arrived for a CT scan and they were prompt checking me in and giving helpful advice. The wait to get in CT was normal and the technologist who performed my scan was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable, personable, and very skilled at her job.

I decided to give Exeter ER another shot at being truly horrible and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT. On Wednesday I went at approximately 11:30am I suspected maybe an ulcer. Upon arriving I was triaged and a iv port installed. I was then sent BACK to waiting room to do a urine sample. In the waiting room bathroom. Where nothing is sterile. Red flag #1. I had no symptoms of a uti. No burning, no chills, no urgency. After 2 hours of waiting in the waiting room with an IV port a PA came and got me and brought me back to triage room and removed my iv. Red flag #2 Said they sent in antibiotics (to the wrong pharmacy) red flag #3 and gerd meds. They said “possible bladder or kidney infection”. Ok, then why the gerd meds? Since they never actually assessed me they didn’t really know the full scope. So w
