I had a very disappointing experience with Excel Health Institute’s CNA program. The school is extremely unprofessional and poorly managed. Communication is a major issue — emails and phone calls often go unanswered, especially once tuition has been paid. The school is run by a husband and wife, and they are rarely available when students actually need support. Before enrollment, they are friendly and responsive, but that changes completely after they take your money. The course materials and exams appear to be copied directly from the internet, and there is little to no effort to verify the accuracy of the questions. I completed my CNA training here through the hybrid program( online and in-person), and I had a great experience. Ms. Ttruly cares about you learning the right way. She keeps you grounded, gives assignments, and makes sure you actually understand the material not just rush through the course. Most of what she teaches is directly focused on helping you pass the board exam. The weekend in-person sessions were very thorough. After practice exam, she reviewed all our mistakes and helped us build confidence. By the time my exam day came, I felt fully prepared, and everything went smoothly. If you want something “easy,” this isn’t the place. But if you want solid training and a school where you can pass your exam on the first try, I highly recommend it. I’m doing my CNA and my Medication Aide in Excel health institute . I thank Mr and Mrs T for their dedication. Ms Helen is an excellent teacher. Patient, empathetic and knowledgeable skills Despite my shortcomings in English, she saw potential in me and always encouraged me. Don't waste your money here. This is by far the most unprofessionally run school I’ve ever attended. The focus seems entirely on collecting fees rather than helping students succeed. On day one, you’re required to sign a student handbook acknowledgment form, but the school will not provide the actual handbook when you later request it. The handbook reportedly contains questionable exam policies that aren’t followed consistently—or are conveniently hidden from students. I left the program without my Nurse Aide certificate because the school insisted I must pass the final in-person exam with at least 80%, even though during orientation we were told that the entire coursework, including online exams, contributes to the final grade. I took the CNA class. Mrs. Ellen is an amazing instructor. She is accommodating, knowledgeable, and professional. It’s a lot of work but it will absolutely prepare you for the board exams. You must put the work in and study!! I’m very thankful I took the class here because I was able to pass the boards with ease. I’m also glad that I was able to view resources and videos after completing this class, it was so helpful. Thank you!
