EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Redmond Town Center

I went to Evergreen Primary Care for my annual wellness exam, which by law and under my insurance should be a no-cost preventive service. Instead, I was incorrectly billed $304 as a “specialist visit.” When I raised this with billing, I was told this was the specialist visit. Looking at other reviews, it seems I am not the only patient who has experienced this issue. This raises serious concerns about their billing ethics and transparency. Patients deserve accurate billing and honest communication. I urge management to review and correct this practice immediately. Until then, I cannot recommend Evergreen Primary Care to anyone seeking straightforward preventive care.

Rude front desk - one person removed the notes of extra conditions and then another receptionist asked to be added. The guy then started making stuff and asked me if that is what it was in notes before. They charge extra for any conditions discussed in addition to wellness exam. I have never seen that in 15 years of experience of getting health exams done in New York/ NJ. Awful experience coming here.

Billed me $600 for an annual wellness exam. The first time I came here last year, they billed an annual exam as an office visit, so that ended up costing me out of pocket. I thought it was my fault not specifying what type of visit I’m seeking, and Dr Palmer was nice, so I didnt dispute. This time around though I made sure to specify it’s an annual exam but again they’ve billed for even more codes. What a deceiving practice!! Please check BEFORE AND AFTER you come here as to what code they’re charging to your insurance. I’ll try disputing but to be honest, it will be easier to find another primary care

I originally thought the case of improper billing was an isolated one. However, I realized this is more systemic after reading all the reviews and not just at this facility. First, prevention should not be billed in accordance to what the US PTF guidelines state. It is clear and posted online.Also, it is clear that the root cause was not insurance but the actual code which comes from the office. Now, as a physician, i know that it is either the provider or the coder who is at fault. Or are they told not to by the Hosptial? Think about it, capturing an extra 200 USD per patient rakes in a lot of revenue. Regardless, there is no quality control or reconciliation process. Evergreen has really went downhill! I had a meeting with my primary care provider through video, I was told to go to the location of my primary care and physician but give a call before to inform them I am coming in. When giving a call the receptionist stated that I go to the Woodinville location because it is closer. I have talked to five people at this location and have waited over an hour at this location and had not been seen. The clinic manager Linda was very unpleasant when speaking with her about my situation. This is the type of behavior this is decrimatory against someone of a different race.
