Empower Weight Loss Clinic

Getting weight loss surgery through Empower at Bingham Memorial was in the top 3 best things I’ve ever done for myself! I lost 100% of my excess weight over the process of less than 2 years starting with a GLP1 before the surgery while I went through the 6 month (minimum) process of getting insurance to cover the surgery so that I could begin my weight loss right away. I have completely reversed my prediabetes, high colesterol, ALL back pain, joint pain, and poor body image/low self esteem. All of the staff at each Bingham location I’ve ever been to has been so amazing, many of them seemingly truly remembering who I am and commending/watching progress. They also offer a lot of continuing support for post bariatric patients like follow-ups, free group functions, and free classes.

They were great leading up to surgery and the day of. But once your surgery is finished and they don't have to do your post op appointments anymore they don't care anymore. You'll get a notice about you needing to follow up for them to keep their accreditation as a weight loss clinic but those follow ups are just a waste of time. The last one I went to they told me there was nothing they could do. No empathy. No help. No understanding. Their treatment of me after my surgery is part of what made me regret ever having it done in the first place. Blackfoot is no better.

This place is great especially since I had the minor appendix removed. The staff and Dr. Are amazing!!

After my mom and my sister had a great experience, I was excited to get started. I drove from Pocatello all the way IF and should have just googled weight loss techniques. I paid someone to tell me there’s nothing that can be done for me, besides watching my carbs. Which I’ve done for a while. Which isn’t helping me. He wanted to see me back in 4-6 weeks, what for, I have no idea. No one asked me about my diet, my lifestyle, anything. They also tried to push a medication (Wegovy) on me that wasn’t covered by my insurance and I told them that. Guess Bryan has a deal with Wegovy going, because that’s all he would even talk about.
