Emory Long-Term Acute Care

One star is generous. The condition, level of care, and overall operation of this facility are deeply troubling and, in my opinion, fall far below acceptable standards. This is not a place where anyone’s loved one should be entrusted. If this review causes even one family to reconsider placing their loved one here, then it has served its purpose. I will not detail every incident, but my mother passed away while under the care of this facility, and I firmly believe that inadequate care and lack of appropriate attention from staff significantly contributed to her decline. What occurred here should never happen to any family. I strongly urge others to thoroughly research and choose a different facility. Please take your loved one somewhere else.

My sister has been a patient at Emory Eltac for nearly a month. While our overall experience has had its challenges, I felt it was important to specifically recognize an exceptional staff member who truly made a difference during an incredibly difficult time for our family. I had the opportunity to remain with my sister for 24 hours during her withdrawal of care. Throughout her stay, Teneshia has been one of her primary caregivers, and I cannot say enough about the level of compassion, professionalism, and dedication she consistently demonstrates. She is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely kind. It is clear that she not only cares deeply for her patients, but also for their families. Seems we were on a different floor than those who left a 5 star review. Our experience was rude nurses who gave you feeling that you're bothering them with every question or request when they had to be extra nice with these patients who can't talk or move etc Everytime we went to visit, many machines were chiming without anyone to check on them. We found our patient bed soaked in urine nurses who didn't care enough to care, so much so that after a week our patient ended up in ICU and spent 40 days or so in hospital.

My brother has been at Emory ELTAC for a few weeks now, and I have to say that Teneshia Harris is truly exceptional. She consistently goes above and beyond in her work and has a wonderful sense of humor that makes her a joy to be around and very smart. Teneshia is very attentive to detail, respectful, listens and always extends herself to ensure that we feel welcome and supported. Her professionalism, skills, and genuine care are unmatched, and I feel completely comfortable leaving my brother in her care. She is truly amazing at what she does. I walk the halls and see how others genuinely loves her.

My brother has been here close to one month and they've given him VIP treatment they got him off the breathing machine and he's actually saying some words. The facility is always very very clean the nurses doctors and staff are very nice and have treated my brother like royalty. I recommend this place for someone going through severe medical problems and they want peace of mind of going to a good place knowing that their family member will get good treatment!
