Emergency Room - Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center

Going to the ER is never fun, therefore, if you have to do something like that, you want/need to KNOW that you're in good, competent hands. The team at the ER@Kernersville Medical Center, are definitely who I would prefer to be in the care of. They're so knowledgeable, professional, and personable. All that, PLUS, they're well staffed, so, there's always someone who can help if you need it and that's INVALUABLE when you're in a position such as this.

Had to bring my son to the ER at 1:30am for breathing issues. Amazing staff. We were treated so kindly. I felt my son was really taken care of and seen to. You can see his progression from feeling awful to having a huge smile on his face after his treatments because he could breathe again.

Always a nice and friendly place. I do not like hospitals as a rule. If you are in the area and need a hospital this is the only one to go to. I do not like using an E R for a doctor's office. Unfortunately my daughter had to. They were polite, caring and very personable.

On 1/9/26 I came into the ED because I had gotten a grinder spark/shard lodged in my eye and if not promptly removed it can cause a rust ring and eye infection. I have been here before for the same issue and seen James Balvich, MD and had a fantastic experience, he knew exactly what to do and removed it with no problems. BUT on this occasion on a Friday night I came into the ED and was seen by Armando Guerrero, PA. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. After being evaluated by him, at first he said he doesn’t see anything. Granted I’ve already had four people look at it with just a flash light and it is clearly visible and I can also see it myself in the mirror. Mr. Guerrero proceeded to do a dye test and black light with magnification and said he couldn’t see anythi

Run, run as fast as you can. I have never seen such an unqualified ER and this is the second time I’ve had issues with this place. I will not be back!!! I give them a one star only because of the sonogram tech. She was efficient, caring, and really made the time with her bearable due to my injury. If you’re lucky, you might be able to see a physician but 99% of the time you’re only seeing the PA or even a nurse and then their answer to everything is go home and take some Tylenol!!!
