Elderwood at Amherst

By far the best pt rehab I've ever experienced. Very clean establishment with the best OT, PT, and speech therapy. The nurses and aids truly care, very friendly, and go above and beyond. I highly recommend this Elderwood location.

The food is barely eatable and portion size would literally starve a 7 YO ... A 2oz portion of dried out chicken won't sustain anyone. Thank goodness I had food brought in .. The Therapy team were top notch . They were all very easy to work with and caring .. For the most part the nursing staff were also good. Aides down to housekeeping were friendly and accommodating. My biggest complaint was the quality and quantity of meal ..both were lacking . Also ..my room , though clean was over run with Ants on three different occasions . Would I recommend Elderwood ? Probably not .. But if I have to do rehab again .... I'd wish for the same therapy people.. Five stars to them ..Thanks you guys !

My mother was here for post-stroke rehab this past summer for a couple months. We were very happy with the overall experience. The staff was very caring and created genuine relationships with their residents. The PT/OT/SLP therapists were wonderful and kept in contact about her progress and what we could be doing to help with her recovery. The leadership team was great with helping us decide next steps and providing resources. And honestly, the food was pretty good too! Overall I would recommend Elderwood Amherst to anyone considering rehab facilities.

There are some very dedicated staffers. However there are many not so dedicated as well, SO things like changes, showers, meals, and other forms of assistance are either inconsistent or delayed. Management seems unable to manage the staffing work loads. The owners should be ashamed of how run down the place is looking and the lack of client care exhibited by their staff. There are some who are very good and try hard but they are outnumbered by the slackers. I feel bad for them. But I cannot give an outstanding review because the good folks are too few and outnumbered by the poor staffing levels. The PT and OT staff are good but management is unwilling to negotiate more PT and OT time for my family member even though we have indicated a willingness to private pay for additional services. It

I've been I've been there for a week and they can't find my clothes that were sent out for cleaning. They don't know when they're going to show up would be nice if I could get some answers Perry the food there is pretty horrendous. Sad when you have to order out to Uber eat I don't know when if the shift clothes are going to show up at all. For God sake stay away from that place
