The staff is less than adequate. They are condescending and rude. Along with that English is not their first language for many of them. None of the staff checks on the patient if there is a visitor in the room. Food orders get changed. (Coffee for 3 days in a row and then only water for breakfast). They staff is indignant when they have to change the order that shouldn’t have been changed in the first place. Thing at the desk is playing on her phone when I ask for a coffee for my husband. In her broken English she says that she can go to the kitchen and “see”if she can get him a cup. 7 minutes later she is still playing on her phone. More Later

It’s been a few months since I left Edenbrook. Overall the facility was clean and pleasant. I’ll start off by giving top notch grades to the physical and occupational staff. I was brought there on a gurney not able to stand and three months later walked out because of their tremendous dedication and help!!! The nursing staff was caring, though some were not quite trained well enough on standard procedures ( using gloves, masks, and knowing the meds schedule between shift changes. No excuses. Staff was not consistent with their duties. Wait times after using the call button was atrocious at best. If there was an emergency is it acceptable to wait 20-30 minutes for a response, NO. Food…. not very good. I’m sure this is a common complaint, but, hot food served cold, no condiments unless asked

I left one facility that I was at for 2 hours and came to Edenbrook. What a difference!! First the facility is clean and you don't smell urine upon entry. They have a well equipped therapy department with excellent staff which is the main reason for choosing this facility. There was a welcome bag on my tray table that was thoughtful and made a nice first impression. Then, administrative staff came to my room to introduce themselves and welcome me. Nurses and aids also made me feel welcome. There are many staff here who go above and beyond and take their jobs seriously by the level of care and courtesy they provide. My mother is there now the food is bad the room leaking water from the ceiling, the light in the bathroom doesn’t work, and that could mean electrical problems from water leaking. Nurse’s don’t answer when she calls. We are trying to get her out to a better place. Worse place ever. Places like this is the problem with Medicare. In this country we shouldn’t have places like this for our seniors.

Ignore the somewhat shabby interior, it’s all about the people! My mother, who is 95 years old, was there for PT/OT after a bad fall. She left 2 weeks later, stronger than when she went in! Food was so-so, but the staff was caring and supportive! We would recommend this facility.
