Now called ESSEX DENTAL! There are two listings on Google: one for Essex Dental, one for East Village Dental PC. They both have the same address, so it's possible that they're same establishment that changed names (although the Essex Dental location is listed as permanently closed on Google). Went to get a cleaning. Was told I had a cavity (not sure I believe that). Got a cleaning and a filling. Asked if I could eat as normal after the procedure and was told yes. But when I ate something 10-15 minutes later, there was noticeable sensitivity in the tooth that was supposed to be filled. I scheduled another appointment to get it checked out a week later. The dentist told me the sensitivity was due to the tooth not being completely covered. The dentist went in and drilled once again and put m

Not sure if dr black is still there. But he was cool he gave lots of education, but he made big mistakes in my mouth and my husband's as well. Firstly, he was bragging loosely to me but mostly to the dental assistant. Saying that in dental school they don't use this cavity filling technique ( hmm wonder why) so basically instead of using tools to pack the filling in -- no lie he used his finger so there is an extra layer of filling blanketed over my tooth so the hole is filled with excess filling which caused me a person with no dental issues ever to need a very radical root canal. The excess filling didn't stay fused to the tooth (unknowingly eating +swallowing small pieces of the filling) so a little opening caused a BIG problem, bacteria was eating away under that pointless sheet of fil

Very horrible place very unprofessional dental office. Today my mother had an appointment and had filling work. They didn't numb her adequately enough. She was still very sensitive feeling everything. On top of that my mom was complaining that she had pain and she still continued to work without caring. After it all my mom got home with a cut on her tongue and alot of pain. This is unacceptable. I then called and they were very unprofessional over the phone and i asked for the manager, yet she said that she was the manager which i know she is not. Lola the manager and I don't want this to happen to no one else so be please be aware !!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the crappiest dental offices I've been to. They told me I needed a route canal, I went to another dentist and had an extensive filling done by someone more experienced and well trained. The worst part was the dentist didn't tell me what was going on after the checkup, her secretary did. You come here only because your insurance forces you to, otherwise if you can afford it (it's your teeth, give it the care it needs) go somewhere else!

They told a person on crutches they were handicap accessible. I arrive and have to open two heavy doors. Then she sees that I'm on crutches and hands me a clipboard (??) and tells me to sit down. I try to figure out how the hell someone can carry a clipboard with crutches, fill it out, and try to figure it out again to carry it back to her. Meanwhile she comes out and BRINGS a clipboard to a different patient. And HALF AN HOUR past my apptmt time I am still sitting there waiting. I crutch back up and she says they're "running behind." Yes. Obviously. She says "I could tell you how much longer, but I'd be lying" ...(???) I had to pay for a cab to get here because I CAN'T WALK. I will have to pay for a cab to leave without even having an apptmt!!!!
