Durham Pediatrics at North Duke Street

Both of our sons have been coming to Durham Pediatrics since they were born. The staff has been kind, thoughtful and thorough in every appointment. It isn’t difficult to get seen for the inevitable sickness(writing this as we wait to be seen for an ear infection) and they are caring and helpful when we are.

Durham Pediatrics @ North Duke has been an absolute pleasure to work with as an ABA provider. So often, families are going through incredibly challenging moments, and their team consistently goes above and beyond to help make those situations just a little easier. They are compassionate, responsive, and truly supportive of both families and providers. Their genuine care makes a meaningful difference during times when it matters most… Kennedy ABA is so happy to have work with such a responsible staff!! 💙🩵

Unfortunately we had very poor experiences at this health care facility, in care, at the front desk, and with the billing department. For a pediatric center, I was hoping for a more positive and inviting staff and I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. We stayed for some time because it was one of the few places we could find with availability that accepted our insurance. After one of our visits after a particularly brisk nurse gave my daughter three shots in her legs she developed tremendous bruising and hard sores in the area that didn’t go away for several months. It had never happened before with other vaccinations and it was hard not to attribute at least some of the adverse reaction to the harsh jabs given. We had a good experience at this Duke pediatrics for our 6-y-old. Contrary to other comments, we had nice front desk support and annual visits as scheduled. We have not been here yet for a sick visit though. Our doctor is (EMILY LEGAULT MAULLER) indeed competent and caring. It's located a bit odd maybe together with other clinics/business firms. Dr. Troutman is amazing! He has been my daughter’s pediatrician since she was an infant. He is very thorough with his explanations and set you at ease with any concern. Also, he is very proactive with anything that might require extra attention. For example my daughter needed surgery and the other pediatric place wanted to wait and see, so I got a second opinion/ switched pediatricians. When I got Dr. Troutman he made a game plan immediately and went to work. Shout out to you Dr. Troutman. Also, if he isn’t in Dr. Clark is also phenomenal. It’s good to know they have an amazing team.
