Dunlap Family Eye Care

Couldn't be more happy with Dr. Dunlap, my family and I have been going to him for as long as he has been open. I moved away for a few years and had a not so great eye doctor... recently moved back to the area, so it was great to return. He still always does what he can to help and then some; kind, approachable, down to earth, explains things thoroughly and in terms I can understand. Couldn't ask for a better eye doctor in my opinion.

I really like Dr Dunlap. He is an excellent eye doctor, but even as an existing patient, every time you call for an appointment there's none available for months. Even in an emergency like when my glasses broke, you get told nothing available for months. This time it was nothing till the beginning of the year. Ridiculous

When you call and ask if they are accepting new patients and they say, "Depends on your insurance." And you tell them your insurance and they say, "No, not with that insurance." And you say "Ok, thank you." And they hang up without a word. And you are relived they don't take your insurance because that is just rude. Your receptionist if the face of your company. And to not have thank you, or any kind of graciousness in their vocabulary tells you a lot about how much they care about their patients.

Dr. Dunlap & his staff are great. I lived in Blairsville until 4 yrs ago but come back to have my eyes checked by him once a year. This year he was booked the week I was coming up but he took the time on his day off to see me! Not many doctors would do that!

Never met a place till you guys that would not take blue cross blue shield federal eye insurance or the blue cross family. No worries as I got American best or other one in blairsville that does take my insurance. Just go there. No worries. Bad customer service.
