Duke Primary Care Croasdaile

Prior to yesterday's visit I have been totally delighted with this practice and Dr. ISBELL.for the past 10 years. Now that she's moved on to the VA I have a new practitioner. We did not click and the visit became contentious. This new practitioner totally lack3d the warmth and empathy I'd come to know. From the time she marched into the treatment room I felt this wasn't going to be a good fit.

I know there’s a lot of bad reviews on here, but I honestly had a 5-star visit. I met with Noa Borkan, RD and I was so comfortable, able to talk openly, and actually felt heard and understood. I have autoimmune issues and have learned through the process of finding a care team that a lot of doctors really do not care what you have to say, or genuinely care about your wellbeing or you as a person.. they just want you in and out, prescribe what they prescribe every other patient, see ya, so long. Noa was the complete opposite and I left feeling like my shit would actually get figured out AND I didn’t feel awful about myself when I got out to my car. 10/10, could not be more thankful. Had an amazing experience with Destiny in the lab! She was patient and so kind. Thank you so much Destiny!

Sitting in the waiting room waiting for a simple blood draw. Been waiting for 40 min. for a 2 min. blood draw. The attitude is an “out of sight, out of mind” one. The doc is fine when I’m sitting in front of her, but their is no follow-up/through. There is zero communication regarding lab results. It’s, treat the symptom and get out because we have too many patients than we have time for. I desperately need a new doctor!

My primary care provider here is exceptional. I usually wait 10-20 mins to be seen after my appointment time. But once in the room things go fast. My provider spends valuable time with me. Some things to be aware of: 1) Your first appointment is not a physical or annual exam. It's a useless visit. I don't know a way around it. 2) Phlebotomy wait times after your appointment are pretty bad (~30 mins). However some primary care clinics don't even offer on site labs so the wait time is kind of worth it.
