Avoid this place. Extremely rude staff. They must have zero training. I called to make an appointment during their office hours. The girl who answered did not state her name. I politely introduced myself and asked who I was speaking with. She abruptly hung up on me. No, the call did not drop due to a technical error, I could hear her pull the handset away from her face and put the phone down. I called back 30 seconds later and the automated system said they were closed - despite being in their official office hours. They closed it early just to avoid me. Totally unprofessional and anti-consumer. If that is how they treat brand new patients, imagine the terrible level of care you'll get once they have your money.

Called in to schedule an appointment. Looked everywhere for a schedule online system, said to call in. I do so and get transferred and the lady that answered was just super unhelpful. I had an existing profile with duke under a former insurance, and she was just basically saying that she couldn’t schedule me because my insurance is showing inactive and needed all my moms information to “remove it” before she could continue. Waited on the phone for 5 minutes for her to come back on the line and told me to do it myself… like I wouldn’t have if they had the option and the lady who answered, I could already tell by her voice that she just doesn’t care and knew she wasn’t going to make easy. I’ve never in my life been told “We can’t update your information, you can do it yourself”

I've been coming here for about 3 years. I managed to lose close to 50 pounds under Dr. Yancy and I've kept most of it off. I look forward to my regular visits to keep me accountable and learn about any new research and recommendations.

The personnel are professional, friendly and well-intentioned but the program is lacking. To be successful there needs to be structured monitoring and accountability, and personalized support. None of this was offered. The clinic appears to be understaffed and the facility, in a windowless basement, is old and shopworn. It appears to be regarded as an afterthought. I expected more from Duke.
